| This album is not the run of the mill Christmas Album. It is a work created by Wallowa County artists for the people of Wallowa County. All the songs were written and played by Wallowa County musicians and the album was produced in a local studio and produced and distributed by a local label. The song is meant to bring mirth to those members of our country who are perhpas struggling a bit at this time of the year in towns where the economy hasn't been strong for years. For all residents of "the county" it is meant to bring a smile to your face as we all live life here in the place we call home. We want to thank Keithanne and Oliver Boeve of Boeve's Pub and General Store and the Terminal Gravity Brew Pub for creating an atmosphere conducive to creativity and for giving us space in their establishments to both play music and to write the lyrics and rhythm beds for the songs on this album. The band is proud to call Henry Kinsely not only a friend, but a band member. Henry used his considerable talent and skill to record most of the tracks on the CD. He also did a splendid job of directing the "choir". Matthew Bell also donated his time, talent and equipment to record music for the album. Thanks to the Embers Brew Pub and to Lears Mainstreet Pub for hiring us to play music. Thanks to Tom Hutchison, Joseph Book Shop, for help on our bonus track, "When it's Christmas in the Wallowas, It's summer in Mazatlan". Thanks to Morgan Jenkins for help with percussion and to Jon Rombach for lending his radio broadcasting skills to the album and for inspiring "Bruce the Moose" with reporing of moose sightings in the county. Last but not least, a special thank you to all of you who came to gigs and who purchased this album. It would not be possible without you. |
